  1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large pot, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, and pilau masala. Stir for 1 minute.
  4. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in broth, add salt, and bring to a boil.
  6. Drain rice and add to the pot. Stir gently.
  7. Cover and simmer on low heat until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
  8. Fluff rice with a fork and serve hot.

Tips

For extra flavor: Toast the spices before adding the chicken. You can also garnish with fresh coriander or fried onions.
